If you have failed your WOF because of the trailer wiring, we can test the circuits for you. We can wire trailers from scratch or just replace part of the wiring or a light bulb if that is what it needs.

Boat trailers often have a problem with corrosion in the wiring and/or lights, and trailer plug. The earthing on trailer wiring is also a major cause of WOF failures.

Geddes carry a large range of light bulbs for a while you wait service. Some light fittings corrode & require replacement, we can do this for you. Some lights are poorly wired we can test the circuits for you.

TRAILER COIL & LEAF SPRINGS & SHACKLES:

There are many standard sizes of leaf and coil springs and shackles. To be able to give any idea of costs to replace coil & leaf springs or shackles we need specific measurements. We can talk you through how to get these measurements but it is easier if you can tow the trailer to us.

TRAILER WHEEL BEARINGS:

If you need help installing a trailer wheel bearing we can do that for you. We replace small trailer wheel bearings and large trailer wheel bearings. We have the pullers and we have impact guns for larger trailer wheel nuts. We provide a full trailer wheel bearings service.

We provide cost options for the repairs. Most wiring faults on trailers can be found and repaired for less than $100. Most trailer wheel bearings can be packed from $50 per side. Our repairs can often be done while you wait, but if we cannot and we need you to leave your car with us, then we have courtesy cars available.
