CHEAP CAR SERVICE: If you have a limited budget so require a cheap car service, a basic service provides an engine oil and oil filter change only. The Budget Service takes care of the more important checks required.

If you require a "CAR SERVICE REPAIR" we would need to know which service and what the repair is. When we are servicing a vehicle, if we discover something requiring attention we follow your instructions which is usually to contact you and discuss the problem with you.

 
There are a number of "FLUSHING CAR SERVICE" types:

Sludge clogged engine oil pick up. Oil changed approximately every 15,000 kms.

DIESEL SERVICE COSTS

Engine oil (up to 4 litres) included. Diesel oil filters and the time vary considerably
(most filters range from $13 and some are over $40 + labour usually varies 20 minutes to an hour).
Once you provide the make, model, year and engine number we can provide the costs for you.
Other parts will cost extra if you request their replacement.

If you require a different combination of service checks than is listed in our charts, give us a call and we can provide you a cost service you require. For example some insurance companies have specific service checks they require for their insurance policy cover.

The listed cost for a tow truck applies if the vehicle is transported to our workshop and has repairs to a cost to you of in excess of $250.00 + GST.

COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS.

Q. How long does it take to get my car serviced?
Answer. Geddes can usually provide a car service while you wait. It is always best to book and most services takes between half an hour and two & a half hours depending on the car service or vehicle service you choose. Remember we have courtesy cars, refer to the conditions.

Q. I need my car serviced @ the airport.
Answer. Our workshop is in Onehunga just across the bridge from Mangere Airport. We can provide a courtesy car to get you to the airport, refer to the conditions.

Q. Is a car service maintenance programme necessary?
Answer. Yes. If you do not service and maintain your vehicle, parts will fail prematurely. For example if you do not change the engine oil it will get so thick with solids from the wear of the engine it may block the gauze on the oil pick up, completely starving the engine of oil lubrication. This could result in a replacement engine being required.

Q. I am looking for an automotive company that offers vehicle service contracts.
Answer. Yes Geddes can offer you a vehicle service contracts, give us a call and we can discuss this with you.

Q. I am looking for an automotive company that can provide a commercial vehicle service.
Answer. Geddes have been servicing commercial vehicles for 40 plus years. We have courtesy cars and a van to help out while your vehicle is off the road. It pays to book the courtesy vehicles.

Q. I need a vehicle service technician.
Answer: Geddes has vehicle service technicians. Peter Geddes has been in business repairing vehicles for more than 47 years.
